But that's america for you...

From Moby's blog (From Bill Mayer).....

Wake up and smell the burning planet. The ice caps are cracking, the coral reefs are bleaching, and we're losing two species an hour. The birds have bird flu, the cows have mad cow, and our poisoned groundwater has turned spinach into a side dish of mass destruction. Our schools are shooting galleries, our beaches are cancer wards, and under George W. Bush -- for the first time in 45 years -- our country's infant mortality rate actually went up...

But that's America for you -- a red herring culture, always scared of the wrong things...

...Because we have an entire economy built on asking young people what they want, making the cheapest, sleaziest form of it they'll accept, and selling it to them until they choke on it and die....

...In conclusion, we can pretend that the biggest threat to "our children" is some creep on the Internet, or we can admit it's Mom and Dad. When your son can't find France on a map, or touch his toes with his hands, or understand that the ads on TV are lying --then the person fucking him is you...

That's some powerful stuff

The wanderer

Where does my life lead me? I make decisions in the spur of the moment, they usually soulely are in the benefit of making myself happy..... Is this a problem or a solution for me? A wanderer I was called the other day by a non-influential person in my life. Just a random lady who I had a brief interaction with, called me a wanderer in a negative way. Should she have the right to comment on my decisions in my life without knowing who I was/am/ will become? On either end of the spectrum she made it her choice to state the obvious. I love what I have done so far and only believe that for the rest of my days I shall enjoy life as to be honest, you never know when you might not be able to live your life! Never harbour in your mistakes, I don't believe in the negative of mistakes as they teach us not to do things again. Are you happy in your current situation? Yes well congrats so am I! If not what are you doing to make your situation better? Do you let oppurtunities pass you by because it's just more convient to remain the same? Have the fire, the desire to have an influence. Certainly most of all don't ever let the routine in everyday life get you down, never forget to believe in your dreams. Back to being a wanderer, I accept it! Not in the negative sense but it the supremely positive influence. Was anyone close to me surprised to see me leave again? Not at all! Do I miss them more and more each time I leave them, of course but it is for the greater good. I feel very strongly that I do not surround myself with fake people. For this reason I'll never be alone. My friends are my most treasured possessions.

Just be...

Your Enthusiam is a Reflection of the Fire that Resides in Your Soul
You can travel the world
But you can't run away
From the person you are in your heart
You can be who you want to be

It's been a long time coming

Well it's been a long time coming, I should have been blogging for a while now. If Joey can do it, so can I! Anyways been in Banff for just over a month now. Loves it! It is very relaxing and there is good people out here. I so miss my peeps at home! Wait hardly anyones at home anyways! I am finally going into Calgary on Thursday (so excited). Definately need to go SHOPPING!! Need some winter duds because we are suppose to be getting some snow today! It's all good, I have been waiting for it for a long time. I think I am ready. Also wanted to post a photo of the gem that I am working up here. It's really beautiful and not too many people know a whole lot about it! It's Ammolite, a 76 million year old fossil. It can only be found in Alberta, I have also included a photo of Moraine Lake from my trip to Lake Louise with Char, was so good to see her! Lake Louise was a total let down but Moraine Lake was totally worth the drive. We saw A Momma and Baby Bears, Coyotes..was so great.
